Midlands Business News -”Birmingham Young Entrepreneur Shorlisted for nationwide award.”
It was announced today that Sahar Rezazadeh has been shortlisted for the Network of Aspiring Women Awards, which takes place later this year. Selected from over 200 nominations, it is a worthy achievement and great news for Ms Rezazadeh and her business Dastan.
Ms Rezazadeh launched her Persian rugs and art business upon graduation in 2010 when she was accepted onto the Birmingham University graduate entrepreneurs programme.
Dastan retails quality Persian rugs and art, and with a thriving client base is a leader in her trade. The purpose of the business is a client-focused service as well as an ethical supply chain that recognises the craftsmanship of the artists and rug weavers.
The Annual Awards hosted by the Network of Aspiring Women have been organised to celebrate the successes of women nationally. The event itself is all about helping women connect to do business together and inspire them to go higher in their chosen profession. Each finalist gets a complimentary ticket and chance to appear in the event brochure of the day. The winners get free coaching, discounted membership of the network plus prizes and giveaways too.
Jo Cameron, former BBC Apprentice and founder of the Network of Aspiring Women adds: “When people get together and share ideas it is easier to build momentum. It’s easier to keep going when the economic climate gets tough. But mostly the network is about sharing ideas amongst each other that can help businesses grow. These awards are about celebrating success and recognising those women who have not only succeeded themselves but are helping others too.”
The judging will take place in September when the panel of leading businesswomen including Dragon’s Den star Rachel Elnaugh, Secret Millionaire Gill Fielding and former rally driver and TV presenter Penny Mallory join with other esteemed women to select the nine winners.
Ms Rezazadeh said “I am honoured to be shortlisted for the Young Entrepreneurs category and especially excited to meet all the incredible leading businesswomen at the Annual Awards in September. I will be doing my utmost to win.”
The Awards event is in its third year. This year over 400 guests are expected to share in the energy of the event.
It is being held on 30th September at Villa Park Birmingham. People can book tickets by visiting www.networkofaspiringwomen.com. Tickets start from £37 + vat
